The Peripheral Entertainment committee is interested in hearing from Actors and Directors interested in working on shows at The World Garden. We recently did The Case of The Suicidal Secratary and all who attended really liked the concept of dinner and a show. We would like to schedule additional shows. To do this we need actors and directors.

Potential Directors should submit a script they would like to do. The script must be royalty free and can not be longer than 1hour and 15 to 30 minutes total. Costumes are possible as are props but there is no availability for Sets or Lighting, Space is currently limited for performance to approximately an 8' x 12' area. Costumes and Props used must be portable and removed at the end of all rehearsals and perfomances.There is no dressing or storage spaces available at the venue.  Shows are not limited to mystery but must be made available for advance reading to determine if content is suitable for the perfomance situation. Persons interested in directing or acting in the Peripheral Entertainments at World Garden should contact Karen McCaulley.

Scholarships

Money generated by ticket sales funds the next show, provides dramatic arts in the area and helps local students. The Village Players give scholarships to a BHS student each year and a NWACC student each semester.

Last year's winners were Rachel Foster from NWACC and Stephen Kennedy from BHS. If you are a student and would like information on how to apply for our scholarships please contact your school's drama department. If you would like to donate to our scholarship program please contact a member of The Village Players, Inc Board of Directors.
